Loft insulation around spotlights

I have spotlight eyeballs in my bathroom ceiling - R- and I have fibre glass insulation in the loft - BUT I have pulled it back from the lights leaving about a two foot circle. Been like that for about years or more with no problem. I have gaps in my loft insulation around the downlights in the ceiling. I decided to investigate the lights via the loft.
